Over the last month, we’ve seen seven acts perform each week, with two artists qualifying directly to the final, and two acts each week getting a second chance at reaching the final. We’ve now reached that second chance round, with four duels, and four winners.
Here’s the line-up:
Duel 1: Margaret vs. Moncho
Duel 2: Renaida vs. Olivia Eliasson
Duel 3: Felix Sandman vs. Mimi Werner
Duel 4: Sigrid Bernson vs. Méndez
Earlier in the week we held a poll to see which acts you thought would qualify through to the final, so let’s see how your winners compared to the actual qualifiers!
In the first duel, you predicted that Margaret would win with her catchy tune In My Cabana, in fact, it was the duel which you, the voters were most sure about. The fans were right, with Margaret scoring a place in the final after beating Moncho with his track Cuba Libre.
In the second duel, it was the battle of the young divas, with Renaida taking on Olivia Eliasson. Voters in our poll predicted Renaida to comfortably win with her song All The Feels, and win she did, so she will perform again in the final next week.
The third duel was a close one according to our poll, with Felix Sandman only just leading over Mimi Werner. However, this is the same winner the Swedish public chose in the Andra Chansen show last night.
Last but not least we’ve got duel four featuring Méndez and Sigrid Bernson, and according to our poll it was another close decision. Méndez topped the poll, but only just, but indeed it was Méndez who will be continuing to the final.
